Makeblock mBot2

Wheeled robot by Makeblock, Shenzhen, CN

mBot2 is Makeblock's classroom robot for roughly grades 3–8: a two-wheeled aluminium chassis with encoder motors, an ultrasonic sensor and a four-channel RGB line-following sensor, controlled by the CyberPi module with a colour display, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. It is programmed in mBlock with Scratch-style blocks or Python, and CyberPi can also be used from the Arduino IDE. It ships as a fixed design to assemble, not an open-ended kit.

Editor's notes

Unverified (free text): Makeblock direct price. Specs (STEMfinity): CyberPi with Xtensa LX6 dual-core 240 MHz, 8 MB flash + 8 MB PSRAM, Wi-Fi 2.4 GHz, Bluetooth, USB; built-in 2,500 mAh LiPo, '≈ 5 hours' playtime, 1 h charge; max speed 20 cm/s; 90 x 180 x 130 mm; chassis with two driven wheels and one mini (caster) wheel. The two-wheel-plus-caster layout implies differential drive, but no page names it, so drive_config is omitted. makeblock.com blocks fetching; links.product is the site root per Wikipedia.
